Aussie71 Posted February 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2012 The compounding pharmacists at Wickham House Pharmacy have developed a “Sea Sickness Stick”. Has anyone tried this type of medication?
fishtaco Posted February 21, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2012 Are you worried about sea sickness? Travacalm work perfect if used right! I suffer from sea sickness really bad but had the right advise (from CC) before i ever cruised. Take one Travalcalm one to 1/2 hour before you even board then another a few hours later. Take another before bed and i will guarantee you will be free from any sea sickness when you wake up. Keep the rest to dish out to sad sorry friends you meet:D make sure you keep a few in spare just in case rough seas are announced. Den
Aussie71 Posted February 26, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted February 26, 2012 Thanks for your advice, I think that I will give Travacalm a go. It appears that it is a tried and tested remedy.
Kiwi Kruzer Posted February 26, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 26, 2012 Heres a sure fire remedy... The Paihia Bomb. Lots of tourists go out on the boats at the Bay of Islands and the chemist up there has developed this pill to make sure they enjoy the day out on the water. Locals swear by them. If you are ever in the Bay of Islands.....:D:D been mentioned on Crusie Critic before... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=531389
Aus Traveller Posted March 1, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 1, 2012 I have found Avomine to be more effective than Travalcalm that I used for years. I only carry Avomine now with me now. :)
