Casino payout money/coins, free drinks

Recommended Posts

Didn't see any slot machines dishing out coins on the Allure last week. We play a lot in the casino and there were no free drinks either. At the end of the week we cashed in our points that tallied up on our seapass and got cash back for that. Have a great cruise!

Jewel and Navigator had some machines that paid out in coins while others paid out in vouchers. Check to see which is which before you sit down to play or you may have to scurry around looking for a bucket if it turns out that you are at a machine that pays in coins. :)

I have come to the conclusion that I prefer the machines that pay out in vouchers because it is easier to move from one machine to another without lugging a bucket of coins and reinserting them one by one, and my hands end up far less dirty when I haven't been handling a bucket full of quarters.

Adventure still pays out in quarters. Found it a little annoying since I am used to the vouchers in Atlantic City. The first time I went I wanted to break a hundred dollar bills so I put in the machine thinking I would play $20 and then get a voucher to cash in the rest. Wrong - got $80 in quarters. I will say it was a little exciting though when I won $250 on one machine and had to enlist my husband and brother-in-law to help scoop up all the quarters!!

Independance had a lot of those ticket things last month. You put your sea pass in to play.

Would have liked to play but did not have a clue how to work them!

Too many flashing lights and too many buttons etc. What happened to the old ones where you just pulled the handle or pushed one button and that was that?

Mariner of the Seas had both last December. Of course, most of the time the money goes in and nothing comes out. :(

Sounds like me. I keep saying never again, but you know how that goes.

actually EX has both..they installed about 100 coinless machines when we were there in mid november....

Sorry for the misinformation! All the penny slots we paid back in May were only coins. Good to see that RCL does upgrade the slots periodically.
