Virtopia Posted March 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2012 Hello there! I just booked my first cruise with Celebrity on the Summit for a 7 night Southern Caribbean cruise and although it's over a year away, I'm pretty excited. Now, as it stands right now, I will be doing this cruise solo. It would be my 3rd solo cruise. The first 2 were done with Royal Caribbean and since I was familiar with what to expect, I didn't mind it. I'll be 30 at the time of sailing and I've heard that Celebrity is a bit more upscale than Royal Caribbean. Will I feel extremely out of place or does Celebrity have solo events as well. Thanks in advance!:D

Thanks in advance!:D Hi:) I have sailed Summit 4 times...she is one of my most favorite ships:D. I am a bit older than you (well more than a bit LOL) but I always sail solo and I have been sailing with Celebrity for 9 years. As for Solo events? I honestly cannot think of any but I am not one to do them anyway....will you feel out of place? Well, if I could have started sailing with Celebrity at 30 I would have;)...I love the line. When are you sailing her? Summit just went through a major drydock so she almost like new now! They do offer activities..some are culinary, some are trivia, etc. No rock climbing walls or water slides...... You will probably be on the younger side but I have met people of all ages......I am 54. I have met folks in their 20s as well as their 80s......I always have a good time and hope you will too.:)
