Cabana - Nellies Beach (booking not avail RCL site)

The cabanas are assigned when you reserve them. RCCI decides which cabana you get. You can choose a "Hillside, Over the water, or beachside" and one will be assigned to you in the category you choose.

Yesterday the Excursions page for my 12/3/12 Explorer cruise only mentioned the Barefoot cabanas for suite guests and noted to "inquire onboard". Since I was looking for Nellies cabanas, I called RCI immediately and was able to book an Over the Water one directly with them, even though they were not showing on the website. I was both surprised and happy.

 

It's worth calling especially when considering how weird the website can be. The RCI rep said she could see it on the page, but I could not.

Was able to book over water cabana on Nellie Beach this morning for our 12/2/12 Allure cruise on RCCL web site. They just opened up, I have been checking a few times a day and finally I reserved it this morning.

Going on the FOS next July and I am new to the "cabana" option. Is one cabana location better than the other? We are a family of 4 adults and one child, age 7.
