Crown & anchor discount coupons

Ok this is our second cruise, so we are gold members. I know about the crown and anchor booklets and what discounts you get. My question is this

 

how do you use them?

 

do you hand the vouchers you wish to use to the waiters, shop assistants etc? or do you hand them over when settling your bill?

personally I cant see the latter one working but my DH thinks that this is the way it will happen :rolleyes:

so can I prove him wrong or is he right.

We used coupons in Johnny Rockets two years ago. We handed them to our waiter in the restaurant and he changed the charges on the slip we signed to reflect the coupons. I would say you have won this one.

For example, you use the 2-1 wine, beer, soda coupon...hand the waiter your coupon the same time you order. That will make their life easier when entering the order in the computer.

The only place I had a problem using the coupons was at Steiners. They seemed to "forget" to include the discount when the bill was presented to me...so make sure you check to see the discount.

Our recent experiences have been that although the booklets are in your cabin, our stateroom attendant has asked that we sign to say we have received them when he/she calls to the cabin to introduce themselves. That's happened on our last 2 sailings on Liberty.
