shootr Posted April 19, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2012 EDIT - CRAP!!! DID I REALLY PUT THE WRONG DATE?!! AAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHH Goodness, goodness, it seems so fleeting, Oh please, oh please, yes I am pleading! 100 degrees by Saturday, are you KIDDING? I don't think I'm ready, by 5:00AM to be sweating! Spoiled all winter, hiking at a whim, Now the best bet is diving in for a swim. So how is Spring in your neck of the woods? Will you have fun for a while, or just wish you could? is it easier to lose, or even maintain? Or do the naughty beverages of summer conspire to gain... Think cool and fresh, veggies and fruit, A spicy shrimp cocktail or gazpacho seasoned to suit Chicken on the grill, or turkey on wheat, A low fat hotdog in the park just can't be beat Hoping for losses to all of Belle's minions, But either way it goes, your always among friends! Stay thirsty my friends - BUT STICK TO THE WATER!!! Eh, stayed even this week, focus is still lacking. The snacking has come back as an evil habit, gotta cut that out. See ya all! winewanderer Posted April 19, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2012 Good Morning, Shootr, you are a fabulous poet. Loved your poem. I lost a whopping .5 lb. That is 3.5 lbs. down in 1 month. Yikes on the 100 degrees but here in No. CA we are going to have 80-85 starting today, my perfect kind of weather. We're ready, it was so rainy all of March and most of this month. Wishing everyne a great week. Diana
nyer Posted April 19, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2012 Great poem, shootr. Thanks for starting this thread. I stayed the same for the last two weeks. It is depressing! I guess, better than a gain. Congrats to the losers. Rose
forbjz Posted April 19, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2012 I have stayed the same for the past 2 weeks as well. Still can't exercise and won't be able to for the next couple of weeks so I should be happy to be able to maintain at 158. Maybe I can get out the bike. I can do that as long as I don't fall off:eek:. Weather is good here in Atlanta. Pollen finally cutting back some.
retiring soon Posted April 19, 2012 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2012 Hi all! shootr ~ you're quite the wordsmith!;) It got up to 60F here today. I wonder where Belle is, hope she's okay. I stayed the same this week too. Snacking is my problem & I know if I quit it I'd lose but I like my goodies. That darn digital scale gave me a weight 5 lbs less than last week 1/2 a dozen times, then my current weight then another. Don't know what it's problem is but I sure wouldn't lose 5 lbs in a week eating popcorn, chocolate & going out for lunch twice. Have a nice weekend! ~ Jo ~ :)
sherilyn70 Posted April 20, 2012 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2012 Stayed the same this week as well. I had some pretty bad muscle fatigue from my physical therapy though so it's possible I have lost but it's not showing on the scale due to sore muscles holding in water. Belle Posted April 20, 2012 #7 Share Posted April 20, 2012 Thanks shootr for starting and a great poem. I tried to give you "guys" a puzzle and know one asked where I was. You were just happy to hear from me... which was very nice but?
shootr Posted April 20, 2012 Author #8 Share Posted April 20, 2012 Thanks shootr for starting and a great poem. I tried to give you "guys" a puzzle and know one asked where I was. You were just happy to hear from me... which was very nice but? Well, my imagination varied from: "You won the lottery and bought a megayacht - who wants a ride?" to having a terminal disease and being buried at sea. Yeah, I'm a weirdo, you all just learning that???:D I dunno, maybe a contest for a free cruise? YOU won a free cruise and need a co-pilot?

Jan_In_Maine Posted April 23, 2012 #10 Share Posted April 23, 2012 Well, I didn't post on Thursday - very busy around here - and this week I am on vacation on the coast of Maine - its pouring rain and cold, but I don't have to work and over the weekend some of my kids and my DS came to visit. I have to get to the doctor and get my back straightened out - I'm having a difficult time walking and stairs are a problem - I do not feel pain, I feel very intense hunger - its been going on long enough, I really need to do something about it - I can't eat my way through this. Hope everyone has a wonderful week. Jan
Rare ncovert Posted April 26, 2012 #11 Share Posted April 26, 2012 It is great to see people still working towards their goals. For me it has been hard to come to CC without a cruise book and no cruise in the forseeable future :( .... I have been sticking with my weight loss however... Last week I lost 2.8 pounds 27 weeks in and I am now down 114 pounds and DW is down 108 (222 together which is more then I now weigh). I will make it a point to try to come back each week because it is great to see people also working for what they want.
