WeBeGone Posted April 20, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2012 Why bother? You can bring on board whatever wine you want. We usually slap a luggage tag on a case and it is delivered to our cabin.
Liz54 Posted April 20, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2012 Because with the card you can get a bottle up to $29 for $21. Bringing your own to the MDR involves a $15 corkage fee. We carry on for wine in the cabin and a wine card for the rest.
koolforkatz Posted April 20, 2012 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2012 That looks like a really good deal. Hope they have it on the Sapphire in August - we would definitely take advantage of it.

Liz54 Posted April 20, 2012 #8 Share Posted April 20, 2012 It was on the Crown in February. They are testing it, don't know what other ships. Sorry.
Rare Cruise Raider Posted April 22, 2012 #9 Share Posted April 22, 2012 Why bother? You can bring on board whatever wine you want. We usually slap a luggage tag on a case and it is delivered to our cabin. On our cruise last month, they stated onboard that they have begun limiting passengers to 2 bottles per stateroom now. Not a great move on Princess' part if you ask me but guess they didn't ask me.
Rare RLK33853 Posted April 22, 2012 #10 Share Posted April 22, 2012 We were on both the Crown and the Emerald in March and were told that the Wine Card had been tested but was no longer available. No one seemed to know if it was going to be brought back once they had looked at their data. Can someone tell me about the "Wine Card" and how you purchase it.Thank y
Astro Flyer Posted April 22, 2012 #11 Share Posted April 22, 2012 On our cruise last month, they stated onboard that they have begun limiting passengers to 2 bottles per stateroom now. Not a great move on Princess' part if you ask me but guess they didn't ask me. When you say "they" stated this...who said it? It has always said that in brochures but never enforced because the contract has no such limit. Was anyone enforcing it? I didn't hear about this nor experience any limits on the Sapphire last month. We've all read about things said or done on a ship that wasn't done on others so I'm curious particularly since we're sailing on the Island in a few days.
