Will hold down the fort at least for the Gatun Locks transit. ;) I work midnight shifts and just got off work so I may be asleep when she comes out the other side.

Well at least it is not pouring rain for them for the first set of locks. All though it looks like they could have showers today.

Yes it is exciting! But I had to wait as I get up at 4:00 to get to work for 6:00 and then I realized it was an hour earlier than Eastern time so now I am really ready to see. One day I will be on it!!!!

That is a very different looking cargo ship ahead of the Zuiderdam...anyone know what it would be hauling to look like that?

I was thinking it almost looked like a very white warehouse being shipped some where :D

That was one thing that really facinated me when we did the full transit. It does make for an interesting day on the ship :)

She has spent an [i]unusual amount of time[/i] (over 20 minutes stationary) exiting the lock area for some reason???

Hope someone can get the grabs on the other side when she hits the Miraflores Locks.
