excusions and time ship sails

Recommended Posts

Hi

I am takng a cruise this June to Alaska. Looking at some of the excusions some of them end at 4:30. The ships is sailing at 5:00. While most of you who have sailed they ask you be on board at 4:30.

A lot of tours end at 4:30 what hapens if your on a tender . I know if you book with cruise they will wait for you but why cut it so close

If it's a ship's excursion, don't even THINK about timing...they WILL get you back and the ship will not leave you. No worries at all! Being on a ship's excursion is totally worry-free. The times are not accurate to the minute!!!

totally agree here - return times are approximate - I've noticed they usually come back a few minutes before they state they are going to:):)

Another reason why it always best to book your excursions with HAL.

When we read that our tour won't be back to the ship until its about time for the ship to sail -- we don't worry as we know the ship will wait for us.

Even the tenders are notified when tours are late and they will be there waiting for you.

HAL doesn't do this -- but years ago we were on the Norway and our tour was the last one back to the tender. When the tender got back to the ship -- we were lifted up right onto the bow of the ship where Little Norway I and II were stowed. We just got off the tender and walked into the ship. The ship was out to sea before we even got to our cabin. Happened in St Thomas.
