On the star princess that goes from Seattle to Skagway and back to Seattle...are their days the casino can't open because we're not far enough out into Int'l waters for the casino to be open???

Just need to know how much $$ to bring for the casino:p

Thanks

Good question. Boy oh boy I never thought of that. I enjoy my evenings and some days at sea with a visit for an hour or so to the Casino.

I certainly hope we get some good news. I’ll be awaiting the responses.

We are sailing September 8 on Diamond from Anchorage to Vancouver doing the same trip.

If you look at the route around Juneau, Skagway it's doesn't appear that would would be 200 miles into Int'l waters...but of course that map is not nautically correct and only for our reference.

As a good revenue source I'm sure they do everything they can to get us legally into gambling territory:p

Especially since this a quiet type of cruise with no sunning, swimming etc It would be nice to hit the roulette tables

It can't if we are in US waters.... we have to be in Int'l waters for them to be able to open up the Casino.... there is a nautical line where we leave US waters and hit the Int'l waters.... it's not US, Canadian...just deemed Int'l

Thanks Ohio...I'm sure they have it figured out..

Leaving Vancouver the Casinos open about 5 miles away from the port entrance. The reference point is the Lions Gate Bridge (the bridge that you pass under as leave or enter the harbor).

The ship must be in international waters, twelve miles from shore for the shops and casino to open.

I think shops can be open once the ship leaves port. No need to wait for international waters.
