Hoiiip Posted May 17, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2012 Traveling on the Sapphire in two weeks. Are lighters provided in the cigar lounge? It's become very difficult to fly with a torch lighter.
Rare oskidunker Posted May 17, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2012 I saw no lighters.
hughdm Posted May 17, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 17, 2012 The last time I was in one of the Churchill's, the bartender lit me up. Also loaned me a great cigar ash tray. I bought one just like it for myself.
Hoiiip Posted May 17, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted May 17, 2012 Thanks. I hate not traveling with one of my torches but I'm tired of TSA taking away my lighters! Used to be you could check them in luggage but no longer.
RickEk Posted May 17, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 17, 2012 If you enjoy cigars, hopefully they will still have the "Cigars Under the Stars" on the night they have the Ultimate Deck Party. roomba920 Posted May 18, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 18, 2012 Can anyone answer whether you're allowed to bring your own cigars on board?
RickEk Posted May 18, 2012 #7 Share Posted May 18, 2012 Can anyone answer whether you're allowed to bring your own cigars on board? Sure... why not? The only problem that I could see is if you bring Cuban cigars on board and they see them. They might be confiscated. JamMouse Posted January 24, 2015 #9 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Since the last post was in 2012, my husband is wondering if the lighter policy has changed. Can you still bring a torch lighter on the ship? TIA.

Cobraman Posted January 24, 2015 #11 Share Posted January 24, 2015 I believe the restriction is still in place on commercial flights, but if driving you can bring them aboard the ship.

JamMouse Posted January 24, 2015 #13 Share Posted January 24, 2015 We only live an hour from port, so we're just driving. Thank you so much for your quick replies.
