It's an awesome camera no doubt!! We also have a Canon 7d, which is great too, but the 5d just blows it away half the time, especially when shooting video.

A DSLR camera, tripod/stabilizer, an intervalometer, a little research and a lot of practice! ;) Go for it!! :D

 

I have a Canon G12. It's know for having many DSLR features in a point & shoot camera body. Could work, maybe? I've only had it a few months and still have a lot to learn about it.

I liked the shot from deck three of the water being sliced through by the ship in the sunset... it was beautiful...

 

On that note, thank you SO MUCH for this... you just made me double excited for my cruise in a few days on the Valor!!! :) Awesome job!

That was fantastic. What kind of camera was used?

 

I have a gopro camera that I am thinking about taking with me and may try a few time lapses.
