You'd be amazed. No one was allowed to book the cruise (at least those of us who weren't "connected" somehow weren't).

When the final cruise was announced, we were allowed to put in our names. Bookings were going to be granted based on how many cruises people had sailed. I did point out to our TA that, although my husband and I didn't have many cruises in total, the ones we did have were a lot of days. I had 75 days on that ship.

Perhaps that made the difference? We got a booking. We didn't even know the itinerary at the time!

 

What a blessing to be on her for her last voyage under the ownership of Holland America.

I don't think any of the current ships HAL has had built will last that long. What a shame.
