Diamond Princess Shore Excursion Prices

Hi all,

We are on the Diamond Princess once again at the end of November cruising Bangkok to Sydney. We did this cruise also in November 2011. I was just looking at the shore excursion options for HCMC (Saigon) and I cannot believe that the "On your Own" tour has gone from $59 to $99 this year. Just wondering whether anyone else has found that their excursions have increased dramatically.

Fuel prices have gone up, but surely not this much.

Yes, fuel prices have increased, but this is the only tour (transfer) that has increased. All others seem to remain the same. I will ring Princess today. Cheryle

Sounds like a monopoly market.
