Cashing travelers cheques on board

We have Amex travelers cheques in Euros, purchased quite a few years ago (when the exchange rate was far higher - sigh). Would we be able to exchange the travelers cheques for actual Euros on board, or would there be a fee?

Any advice on the best way to cash these travelers cheques would be much appreciated, as the last time I traveled to Europe I had a hard time cashing them. I cashed all of mine at that time, but my husband still has quite a few.

THey will cash them for Euros on board for no fee (assuming you are on a European cruise -- I don't think you can do that on a Caribbean or Alaskan cruise).

I was able to cash travelers checks on the Constellation last fall with no problem. I needed to have a lot of US money to pay cash for Israel tours and didn't want to carry cash overseas with me.
