How much do you $$ spend on board, usually?

We are not big spenders.

Figure for the 2 of us, it usually comes to about $70 a day.

That includes the auto tip, pictures, bingo, wine and some miscellaneous.

Extra tips for room service etc. are not included here, since they are made in cash.

We rarely do ship tours so that keeps our on board costs low.

we hit 1500 by the time we left the ship and we left no stone unturned. We had the soda cards for 3 of the 4 of us and we did everthing we wanted on our checklist including 2 specialty restaurants.

my last cruise the damage was about $3500 for 2 people

that did not include the DSC as it was prepaid ($408)

most of it was on drinks, but also shopping on board, and a few excursions

the cruise was 17 days long

we had such a great time :)

We spend more and more each time we cruise, it seems. Our lowest was about 500 when it was just the two of us. When we travel with family it is always more. We are taking our kids and their families on the next cruise. I am trying to pre-pay as much as I can. We are all in suites so I am letting them take care of the tipping.

The most we have spent is about 2000.00 for two of us for 7 days.

This is such a cute question. Made me go back to previous cruise folders to recheck.

On a 9-day Baltic cruise this past May/June, we spent $954 on shore excursions for 2 of us, mainly because we signed up for two St. Petersberg excursions--saved trouble of getting visas, etc. Normally we don't buy excursions. Also spent additional $1,200 on credit card aboard, mainly for specialty restaurants and wine. Lost track of cash expenditures, as we stayed with friends in Copenhagen before and after the cruise, so who knows where it went!

On pre-Christmas December 2011 cruise to Bahamas, we spent $570 on wines (included a few specialty drinks and entertaining on board) and $168 on gratuities on our charge card. Total CC on-board bill was @ $1,600. Also spent @ $700 cash tips for butler, concierge, cabin steward, and wait staff at specialty restaurants. We were in the holiday spirit!

Wow, I am a cheapie compared to most of you! When I travel with my friend, our expenses are separate so for just myself, not including the DSC & FCR I am usually around $100. That covers a carton of cigarettes, a martini clinic, a specialty restaurant or 2 and maybe a specialty coffee.

BUT I have a couple of advantages.

I book through CAS so I get comped drinks in the Casino.

I am Platinum so I get dinner with wine in le Bistro & a few cocktail parties.

Once you add in my gambling funds I guess I'm right there with most of you!

Including the DSC, for DH and I this past cruise it was under $200. It was our DSC and a picture I bought in the photo gallery. We aren't usually big spenders on board, and the highest we've ever had was about $500, including DSC. (For 2 of us.)

After first cruise (6 days) spending only $600 for our family of four, just getting feet wet, we thought we'd be ahead of the game on 2nd cruise (7 days) by putting $1000 on our account before we got on. Unfortunately we were a bit too comfortable and when I checked our balance on day five, we had $90 left....gulp. We drank a bit more and the kids did more on board activities...mostly at night. Sometimes at the evening programs later than us out for the night.

When you Pre-pay...check every day! :-)

We pay for excursions in advance as well.

Around $1500 a person for drinks and specialty dining, extra goes spa and so on.

The most was on the Jewel where we checked-out with a almost $17K bill for a 2 week cruise.

Prada Cowboy - thats more than I would spend on a car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disembarked today and after reading that I fear at some time NCL will no lonnger sell any cruise to me.

Had a 406$ bill today but when you subtract the 150$ cruise credit and a 99$ shore excursion there is just the service charge, a soda card and a deal or no deal card.

My totals don't include excursions or casino - just drinks, dining, spa, souvenirs.

We average about $800 for a 7-day cruise for my wife and I. Since having our oldest DD, that's bumped up to around $950. I imagine with DD #2 now joining us on future cruises, that'll bump up to about $1,100.

The most we've spent on a cruise tab was our 10-day Western Med. honeymoon cruise - we spent $1,600 on that one. But we also enjoyed the spa, and had a $400 dinner in the ship's most elegant restaurant. We figured our honeymoon was a time to enjoy a bit more indulgence than we normally would. It was also our first time enjoying the SuiteLife .
