DW and myself are in our late 50’s , easy going not a lot bothers us.

We have cruised Princess (Platinum) ,RCI (Gold) and HAL (2 star).

We have been to Alaska twice, once on Hal and once on Princess.

I’m looking at Celebrity for an Alaska cruise for DW’s birthday

next July. Would we be happy going on the Millie for 14 day

return Vancouver?

Yes you will. I am about to do Alaska on Infinity and am really looking forward to it. I have sailed Millenium twice (14 night TA and 12 night Western Med) and had a wonderful time on her.

I think in Alaska you want to be able to see the scenery at all times. The Millenium class ships really lend themselves to this. You have the buffet area with lots of glass and the front lounge with a birdseye view of everything. The main dining room on Millenium also has lots of glass.

The walking deck on Celebrity is great and you'll have great views from there as well.

I have done Princess twice to Alaska and Norwegian twice and really any ship to Alaska is going to be great.

The most important thing for me- being that it is your first time is to book a balcony cabin. You will use this. I don't think it matters which side of the ship- although the three times I had a balcony, I was on the port side side (left side). First time I sailed I was in an outside cabin on the starboard.
