Putterdude Posted July 13, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2012 My advice would be to look at all the various itineraries of the various lines and pick one that most interests you.
Kamloops50 Posted July 13, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 13, 2012 We are looking into an Alaskan Cruise in AUGUST 2013 out OF Seatle any reccomdions ? Most cruise lines do the same basic ports on a 7 day Alaskan cruise. Some lines stop at Sitka . Beautiful little town and easily walked .
chipmaster Posted July 13, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 13, 2012 1st priority Glacier Bay or Hubbard, if you are talking roundtrip out of seattle those sailings are fare and few between.

This is where we start. Figure out the length of the cruise, where you want to begin and end and what ports you want to visit and if you want to spend a day or so cruising glaciers such as Glacier Bay. Then from there figure out what cruise line(s) best match up with what you want and then if there are multiple ones and you need an opinion be sure to come back to the board to ask. nwwinelady Posted July 18, 2012 #8 Share Posted July 18, 2012 Agreed! Hubbard Glacier or Glacier Bay are a must. We have seen Hubbard Glacier on Celebity and will see Glacier Bay this September. :D
5waldos Posted July 19, 2012 #9 Share Posted July 19, 2012 Be certain that you get to see glaciers- some cruises do not. You might also want to look at cruises out of Vancouver (sorry- I know you didn't ask) because the trip up or down between the mainland and Vancouver Island is really spectacular.
