wizard-of-roz Posted July 27, 2012 Author #26 Share Posted July 27, 2012 This thread is making my mouth water! Last time DD got this, she could also get can Root Beer at the bars. Another tip is get a glass from the buffet, have soft serve ice cream put in it and then top with coke or root beer from the bar. YUM! Write it down, write it down.....[note to self!]
Rare TracieABD Posted July 27, 2012 #27 Share Posted July 27, 2012 Sherri, thanks so much for asking. My wonderful Brenda is at home with my retired DH. The two of them are quite a team. She sleeps on the couch most of the day and he sleeps in his recliner again, most of the day. They go for their walks but quickly retreat back to their respective sleeping areas, while Horton and I head off to work. At the end of the day Brenda hears Horton and me coming to the front door and she waits for us to enter. She greets Horton with a "face lick" [it's so cute] and then he does the most ridiculous spin, putting on quite a show for his woman, while she looks on. He brings out the joy in her and I love watching them. They really love each other. ;) Glad to hear of your dog stories. I have miss seeing them! wizard-of-roz Posted July 27, 2012 Author #28 Share Posted July 27, 2012 Glad to hear of your dog stories. I have miss seeing them! On the "Disabled" board. "Cruising With a Service Dog" [if you want dog stories] is all about many other folks with a lot of Brenda & Horton thrown in. We celebrated our 5th year with that thread on the CC Board, a few weeks ago. I've always loved dogs but there's just something so amazing and wonderful about a Service/Working Dog.....they're God's very blessed and special creatures. ;) :)

They are wonderful creatures.:) Not to get too off topic......but, people like your parents are what make the Service Dog industry work and continue to be successful. Please, next time you talk to your parents will you please [tear in my eye] give them a HUGE hug and THANK YOU from me....a gracious and humble recipient of two Working Dogs who would not have been as successful as they were without the PUPPYRAISERS and the amazing people who take the "retired" Service/Working Dog into death. Cruising With A Service Dog is truly a miracle......Just watch an 80lb dog go to the bathroom in a 4x6 wooden box, filled with wood shavings and you'll be a believer too! :p
LucyDiamond Posted July 27, 2012 #31 Share Posted July 27, 2012 You can get any combination you want - just so long as it has no alcohol in it.... be adventurous and yes' date=' I love the chocobanana mocktail, but don't have too many, you wouldn't want to know the calorie count![/quote'] I think that one is the WORST. It has at least 1/2 cup of heavy cream in it (probably more), so that's 400 calories alone. And that's only part of the drink. But, think about all the calcium and potassium you'll get from the cream and banana... ;)

CantanaLobo Posted July 27, 2012 #39 Share Posted July 27, 2012 Pace yourself. I alternated the choco-banana and the chocolate shakes. Don't want too much banana - too many vitamins can be as dangerous as to little. And have them hold the whipped cream on the shakes. That makes them healthy :)

wizard-of-roz Posted July 27, 2012 Author #41 Share Posted July 27, 2012 I know we've all been joking about this but seriously, it gives someone who doesn't enjoy the alcoholic stuff some interesting options! Thanks everyone!
