bringing soda on board - Freedom

Last year my BF bought the soda package -- but, he is really a Pepsi drinker (not Coke). Looking for some current info regarding bringing a couple 12 packs onboard -- using luggage tags -- not smuggling. Has anyone done so recently on the Freedom of the Seas? Thanks!

Soft drinks are technically not allowed, but this rule is rarely enforced. I've read here that Spring Break is the time it's most likely to be enforced.

If have carried on a 12 pack of Pepsi in a backpack on every Royal cruise. I then restock at one of the port stops.

Thanks for the info -- that is how it's been on my past cruises -- I just haven't been on the Freedom before.

Carried on a 12 pack of Coke Zero on Freedom in my backpack in April. They scanned it, no problem.

 

Carry it on though. Dont put it in checked luggage. It might get sent to the naughty room thinking its beer. Others may have luck but who wants to take a chance on your luggage being delayed getting to your cabin.

I've never had a minute's trouble over soft drinks. Just double-ziplock them and pack them in your luggage.

July 22 sailing Freedom of Seas.

Saw separate sealed cases of soda, Mountain Dew (diet) to be exact..........24 cans in the luggage bin.

Guess its ok.

Took a case of Diet Pepsi on the Freedom last September and intend to do the same this year in September. Slapped a luggage tag on the case and it showed up with the rest of the luggage.
