Hawaiidan Posted August 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Staying in a regular cabin I read that during a cruise of say 10 days I am given a reservation shot at each of the venue on the ship. My question is when I am on a 40 to 60 day cruise, will the cycle repeat every 10 days or what? Or after the initial guarantees is it a open booking on an availability baisis ? Anyone have any experience
geekybiker Posted August 8, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2012 From what I understand, you can make additional bookings on ship. The number you are given are pre-bookings for before departure and vary by cabin level.
wripro Posted August 8, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2012 This is a good question. I would assume a 40 to 60 day cruise is made up of several b2bs and you would be eligible for one reservation each per segment. I would have your TA confirm this. YoHoHo Posted August 8, 2012 #4 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Number of reservations (Regatta, Insignia, Nautica): Owner's Suite, Vista Suite, Penthouse Suite and Concierge Level Veranda 0-7 Sailing Days: 1 reservations at each restaurant 10-17 Sailing Days: 2 reservations at each restaurant 18+ Sailing Days: 3 reservations at each restaurant Veranda, Ocean View and Inside Stateroom 0-17 Sailing Days: 1 reservations at each restaurant 18+ Sailing Days: 2 reservations at each restaurant Number of reservations (Marina and Riviera): Owner's Suite, Vista Suite, Oceania Suite 0-7 Sailing Days: 1 reservation at each restaurant 8+ Sailing Days: 2 reservations at each restaurant All other suites and staterooms All Sailings: 1 reservation at each restaurant However, as per wripro's post, this MAY be the rules for one cruise of the above lengths vs. several B2Bs making up in total the number of days. However as B2Bs are discounted slightly that may already be factored in. On a 40 day cruise I will be happy to use the GDR or Terrace for greater variety as the menus in the specialty restaurants do not change and no matter how good it may be I would get tired of too many repeats

Anyone have any experience It is easy to make exta bookings on board. There is someone at the front of the Terrace DR each morning. Be flexible and you will be fine.
