WildcatRock Posted August 9, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2012 Hi there! Does anyone know if NCL provides life vests (especially for children) on GSC? Thanks! Yes they do. There's a building you go to on GSC to pick up your snorkeling equipment - life vest, snorkel, and fins.
peg013 Posted August 9, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2012 I know that the life vest rental is $5.00 for snorkeling if you have your own equipment for adults. Not sure what the fee is for children. Hopefully someone will know.
GirlWriter Posted August 9, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted August 9, 2012 Can you rent just the life vest, even if you're not snorkeling? I just want to put one on my 3YO while he is playing in the water on the beach.
bakerintn Posted August 9, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 9, 2012 I'm not sure that what NCL has for snorkelling is appropriate for a 3 year old. I believe that they are still the inflatable type that allows a swimmer to be face down (so they can snorkel) ...not what you want for your toddler. Hopefully someone will post more descriptive info on what NCL has.

peg013 Posted August 9, 2012 #7 Share Posted August 9, 2012 Ah, good to know. Sounds like we will be bringing our own, then. Thanks! Since you have your own, I would bring it so you know it is the correct one for her age and weight.
jdvmd Posted August 10, 2012 #8 Share Posted August 10, 2012 Life vests are $4.99 for the day for either children or adults but as someone else pointed out, they are the inflatable snorkeling kind that you slip over your head and belt around your waist.
