Third Person in Balcony Room

We are thinking of doing a Christmas cruise on the Caribbean Princess to the southern Caribbean and would like to know if anyone has any pictures of a balcony room that accommodates a third person. We want to see if the bed comes down from the ceiling or wall, or if you have to use a rollaway.

I'm pretty sure that the 3rd person sleeps in a bunk bed that drops down from the ceiling in balcony cabins. I can't imagine how or where you'd put a rollaway bed.

We were in BB (I don't know what they are classed as now) and the third bed came down from the ceiling.

In balcony cabins, the extra beds come out of the ceiling.

It comes down from the ceiling. As you can see, we had the lower bed made into a queen, which some say is impossible, but as you can see is quite possible.

We cruised on the Emerald,three of us in a Caribe Balcony stateroom.The 3rd and 4th beds drop down from the ceiling. One of my daughters had bruised legs for weeks as she was too tall to climb the ladder to the top and used to leap from half way up the ladder to the bed.Didn't put her off though,we can't wait to go again.

I've done three in a room. Getting in and out of that pull down bed is not fun.

The one time we took Holland America, there was a couch that was made into a bed at night. It was much more comfortable.

scotty22, that seems like a win-win situation--grandparents get to spend time with their granddaughter (my favorite thing to do) and parents get a vacation alone!

You could also book a mini suite instead. Then the couch converts into a twin bed. That might work for you too.

On the Pacific Princess the couch is a pullout bed
