Splendor laundry

Does anyone know if I have to bring quarters for laundry on the Splendor of if there is a change machine? Trying to pack super light! Thanks

yes bring quarters if i remember correctly it cost around $4-5 and we brought our oun detergent and fabric softner (got lucky at costco sample sizes before the cruise)

yes there is. It sells both detergent and softner.

Function: Self-Service Launderette

 

2 or 3 washers

2 or 3 dryers

1 iron and ironing board

Vending machines dispense small boxes of detergent and water softener

Ironing Room: 2 ironing boards/irons

You can also get quarters from guest services.

I prefer the Purex 3 in 1 sheets. It includes the detergent and the dryer sheet together and they are very easy to pack. No liquid so no chance of anything spilling in your luggage. :)

We took these also. They're nice to have. We never ended up doing laundry but put one or two in the vent because our cabin smelled a little stale - nothing bad but the sheets really made the room smell good, lol!

No, just go to guest service, they can give u change.. unless the price changed its $3.00 to wash and $3.00 to dry .. can't remember how much the soap was (I wasn't planning on doing laundry, but after 2 weeks and 2 outfits a day I ran out.. I also was worried about the 50lbs limit at the airport

I got quarters at the casino. I think the washing powder was $0.75 per load and the dryer sheets were $0.75 for a few of them in a box. I brought my own dryer sheets and might bring Tide Pods to wash a couple loads on a future cruise. I feel like I'm getting ripped off paying all that for half a cup of laundry soap. :rolleyes:

 

I have seen soap for $1-$1.25, but not for $0.75.

 

I agree with the poster who said to get the Purex sheets. I think I have seen them in the Travel section in Target and WalMart.

The machines are so small half of a Purex sheet does the job.

You won't have any problems obtaining quarters aboard the ship.

Thanks..one of these is very close to our cabin!
