PennyAgain Posted August 20, 2012 #4 Share Posted August 20, 2012 I've been on that boat. It generally does not serve cruise passengers, but those seeking day trips. It does make for a very nice outing. I am glad that all are well and safe.
Northern Aurora Posted August 20, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2012 The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner is reporting that the captain was trying to get close to shore to view some bears when they hit the rock. I am also glad that all are safe and well.

Glaciers Posted August 21, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted August 21, 2012 Happy all are safe! Yes, it appears only a couple had minor injuries. Since now are all safe it was nice to read there were no evident environmental concers with spills that could have affected other traffic. The Anchorage Daily News article has more info now. They continue to add to it as more information is received. http://www.adn.com/2012/08/20/2594368/glacier-bay-boat-hit-rocks-after.html
