olibubble Posted August 21, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2012 Hi! Due to a hefty price drop, I've gone from an inside to a balcony! It is a d2 I think according to charts, on deck 7. Liberty of the seas! Stateroom number 7654. Is this a good room? Any obstructed views etc??
olibubble Posted August 21, 2012 Author #2 Share Posted August 21, 2012 And will I become a balcony addict and never be able to cruise without again?? :D

PattyG12 Posted August 21, 2012 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2012 Funny because I do love being in a balcony but really don't mind going to an OV sometimes depending on the cost. Had an inside and really missed natural light.
cb at sea Posted August 21, 2012 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2012 You'll appreciate the added space in a D catagory cabin, and having immediate access to the great outdoors is very nice! Enjoy!
PattyG12 Posted August 21, 2012 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2012 To answer your other question, it looks like you're just behind the hump in 7654. Not aware of obstructions but I've not been in that area. Looks like a good cabin.
DonnaK Posted August 21, 2012 #9 Share Posted August 21, 2012 Excellent location, midship and close to the elevator/stair lobby. No obstructions, noise issues or any other negatives. We've gone back to insides after having balconies, so it is possible. lol
sept10dsm Posted August 21, 2012 #10 Share Posted August 21, 2012 We booked our first balcony as well but on ExOS in Sept. We basically have only done insides and obstructed OV in the past due to great pricing. This time the price we were able to get for a balcony was so good we just didn't pass on it! Ren1216 Posted August 21, 2012 #11 Share Posted August 21, 2012 Yes and yes. Good location, but you won't be able to see directly forward to the front of the ship as the hump will be blocking that view. But that's no big deal, the central location makes it very convenient. Definitely addictive. Enjoy!

Floridaman5115 Posted August 21, 2012 #18 Share Posted August 21, 2012 Any balcony is a great balcony. I feel very grateful when I get one. Sorry but you may become addicted.
RCI Cruisers 004 Posted August 21, 2012 #19 Share Posted August 21, 2012 Just to warn you.....Yes you will become addicted to balcony rooms! I've heard rumors that RCI plays subliminal messages at night and before you know it, you are in a Junior suite, then you upgrade to a Grand. And then you go to cruisers anonymous meetings. And you have no regrets at all. Enjoy your upgrade !
Galatz Posted August 21, 2012 #20 Share Posted August 21, 2012 Funny because I do love being in a balcony but really don't mind going to an OV sometimes depending on the cost. Had an inside and really missed natural light. The lack of natural light is why I love interior cabins. Days at say are made for 4 hour naps...those darkening shades just dont do enough for me :D
CRUISE4JANE Posted August 21, 2012 #21 Share Posted August 21, 2012 Maybe something is wrong with me, but I can't see napping on my cruise. I would feel like I am sleeping my cruise away. I know a lot of people do it though. Guess I don't want to miss out on anything. :)
