C&THollings Posted September 3, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 3, 2012 Book Early Saver and watch for a price drop. If the cruise is paid off, you get OBC. If it's not paid off yet, you get a reduction in what you owe. Win Win either way :)
SC Company Posted September 3, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted September 3, 2012 Asked this same question a few weeks ago snd someone posted this link for me . Pretty much use it to just keep checking current day's rate. If you booked early saver and the current rate is less than yours - you can apply for credit. It will be credited as either a refund if you haven't made final payment yet or OBCs if you have. This is my 3rd cruise on Carnival...so happy someone clued me in! :p http://www.carnival.com/BookingEngine/FareViewer/ Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk

BridgeMates Posted September 3, 2012 #9 Share Posted September 3, 2012 For Carnival frequent travelers .....Can you use the Early Saver obc for anything on board (liquor store, jewelry shop, tips, etc.)? Can we use it in the Casino? If there's any left over (ha ha), can we get cash back?

deborahjo Posted September 3, 2012 #11 Share Posted September 3, 2012 We check both our cruises every day. Still nothing yet but there is hope.
deanswife1990 Posted September 3, 2012 #12 Share Posted September 3, 2012 We decided not to book ES this time since our cruise isn't until Sept 2013 and we have never had a price drop on our past cruises. Can you get a reduction if the rate drops in the rate category you booked goes down?

ccruisequeen Posted September 3, 2012 #14 Share Posted September 3, 2012 We decided not to book ES this time since our cruise isn't until Sept 2013 and we have never had a price drop on our past cruises. Can you get a reduction if the rate drops in the rate category you booked goes down? Yes you can if you submit it to your PVP or TA, I got a $20 reduction by doing a phony booking during a PG sale, cut and pasted the info into Word and emailed it to our PVP. It was applied immediately! Good luck to you!

Can you get a reduction if the rate drops in the rate category you booked goes down? IF it is before final payment is due....Yes. After final payment is due, only ES gets the drop. Kay107 Posted September 23, 2012 #17 Share Posted September 23, 2012 Has anyone had any experience of receiving confirmation emails saying that an early saver request had been approved but of then not receiving the OBC? I should have received credit in July and then again in August but having just returned from the cruise have yet to see anything, despite both Customer Service Dept on board and myself making numerous attempts to resolve the issue? vwrestler171 Posted September 23, 2012 #18 Share Posted September 23, 2012 I wish I could get some OBC, my cruise has just continued to climb higher and higher. I paid $639 for an 8N and now the cheapest balconies are $729/pp. At least I know that I got the best price. :)
