avis shuttle for San Diego pier ?

I have an Avis car booked - it was the most economical - right now I have an airport pick up -- but cant find any info on whether they pick up at the pier.

time = money - I can change for convenience!!

 

anyone know the cost of a cab to the San Diego airport?

A little reading on the board will find the cab fare is about $10.

I know that Budget & Hertz have shuttles that go back and forth to the port.

The airport and port are barely 2miles apart.

All the car rental places(even the airport ones)are actually off airport and a little closer to the pier sooo I'd just take a taxi from the pier to the actual car rental lot NOT to the airport.

I had a choice to pick up off site or airport - two different addresses for the AVIS locations. I did see rates posted for taxis - but some of the postings were old - so I thought I would double check..
