How long for a refund?

RCI owes us a refund for a cruise that was cancelled 2 weeks ago. Still not seeing the refund on my credit card, I called to inquire about it and was told a refund could take 6-8 weeks. That seems like an excessively long time. Does anyone know if it actually takes that long?

Not usually. And it typically is not a delay with RCI as much as the posting / processing cycle with your credit card company - RCI is not likely holding your money.

Ive never seen it take that long - week at most

I had hoped that 6-8 weeks was a cover-your-a$$ answer, not reality.

For some reason, refunds take MUCH longer than charges. It makes no sense! We have a business....a refund or a charge is but a click of a button.....they just want to make sure your charge actually went through....THEN they will refund it. Silly, but that's the way it works!
