We just booked a guarantee balcony cabin (BX) on Pacific Princess for the Amazon in 1014. There are only two cabins in this catagory and they are called obstructed view cabins. The obstruction is not a lifeboat, as these cabins are all the way aft. Does anyone have a photo of the balcony in cabins numbered 7112 or 7117?:rolleyes:

Email Donna and Dennis. I am almost sure she was in 6086 (had made a note of her cabin #) on our Amazon cruise we all did in 2009. She'll be able to tell you about it. We did it as a B2B so that we wouldn't have to fly into or out of Manaus. Loved the cruise and loved the B2B.

From the picture below, you can see the rearmost cabin on deck 7 (the deck above the lifeboats) has part of the steel slanting across part of the balcony.

If you have been assigned one of these cabins and would prefer another in the same category, Princess will change you to any avilable cabin in the category you were assigned. Just call your travel agent (or princess if you booked directly).
