Noise

Sometimes there is no answer. Or, any attempt at an answer will only perpetuate the issue.

Noise, for instance, is one of those things that has no right resolution. What you do for some will only cause others to react the opposite. Somewhat like the volume of music or entertainment. Or dress code. Or amount of wine allowed to be brought on board.

I believe that Mr Bayleys' attempt to answer questions is valiant but also a near impossible task. He is going to lose as many cruisers as he will gain. Your comment at a question not being answered (even though you say it is not even yours) is a perfect example. I have read things such as "he is not turning down the music so he lost me". "No trays in the buffet is the last straw for me". Really? How can he win?

Not sure how he picked the questions to answer....some were "damned if you do, damned if you don't" type of questions that you can't win. Some questions were issues that clearly needed attention...e.g. confusion about VISA's being provided on the ship.

Hopefully (and likely) all the questions will be reviewed and put into buckets of some sort for action and discussion within Celebrity.

Too bad the issue got (skipped) ignored. Not my issue, but a very important issue to many.

It wasn't totally skipped. It was partially addressed in replies to two other threads that gave a mixed message with contradictory responses. I started a poll about the noise. Look here and vote: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1718060

Very wise and reasonable comments/perspective above from Pete and ghstudio. I asked three different questions and got responses on all three. Two were fairly well detailed with the substance and follow-up provided by the new CEO on bandwidth and future speaker priorities. On my question about the 14th floor walking "track" on these Solstice ships, I knew he could not snap his fingers and make it "all" perfect to satisfy every various interest and desire. His response was good in reflecting his personal interests from liking to use that area for walking and feeling that they strike a decent "balance" for uses/facilities in this way/set-up.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Did a June 7-19, 2011, Solstice cruise from Barcelona that had stops in Villefranche, ports near Pisa and Rome, Naples, Kotor, Venice and Dubrovnik. Enjoyed great weather and a wonderful trip. Dozens of wonderful visuals with key highlights, tips, comments, etc., on these postings.
