After we watched the sun set, we decided to go eat our last dinner!! We were getting sadder and sadder as the night got later and later. We knew that our wonderful cruise was coming to an end. We decided to go to the buffet and just sit down by the water and enjoy being all together.

We finished dinner and decided to go finish packing, so we could put our luggage out to be taken. We definitely could not do self assist...lol. I pack way to much to be able to lug my luggage all around the ship. After we we had packed all of our stuff and we put it outside, we realized that we had not received our liquor that we had bought earlier in the week. We had bought 5 bottles of liquor and we were waiting for it on that last night but by 9, we had still not received it. So I saw our room steward out in the hall and asked her about the liquor and she said that she had already passed out all of the liquor that she had received from the shop. So she called her supervisor and he said that he had no order from us for liquor and told me to take my receipt dow to the shop and see what they said. So I started frantically searching for my receipt and praying that I did not throw it away accidentally. Thank goodness, I finally found it packed away with all of the rest of my documents. I went downstairs and there was a HUGE line waiting for liquor pick up. The guy in front of me said that he had the same problem that I had, so I guess they were having issues. I get to the front of the line and he says that they have no record of me ordering any liquor.. I showed him my receipt, so he just went and pulled the bottles off of the shelf...I was wondering what he would have done if it had been sold out, but all's well that ends well. We went back upstairs and packed all of the liqour in our rolling bag.

We were trying to decide if we were just going to hang out in the room or go out on the ship and my hubby wanted to gamble a little bit more..so who am I to say no.

Here is my exciting casino story that everyone is waiting for.

I went and played roulette and the table was EMPTY, but I hate playing roulette at an empty table, but I decided to sit down anyways and play. I was hot on the roulette table and started hitting numbers. I played for about 45 mins-1 hour and then they changed rollers and my luck started going downhill, so I stopped while I was ahead and wouldn't you know it, that roller hit 2 of my number back to back. (just my luck) so I was a little frustrated, so I took $30 of my winnings and went to a slot machine and started playing. It was a $.25 slot and you played 2 credits for max bet. I was up about $5 and was just enjoying being in the casino on our last night. I started losing my money and was down to about $19 when my luck changed....

Yeah you read that right!! I hit the jackpot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't believe it and I started saying, "OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG"

The people around me were asking me what I had won and saying congratulations. It was a crazy crazy thing. I have never won anything like that before and it was a crazy feeling!!!

I got my cash and got the heck out of there..lol! It was a great end to a FANTASTIC cruise!

We went back up to the room and sat out on the balcony and just reminisced about our vacation. We went to bed since we had to get up early for debarkation.

Oh, yeah I forgot to mention that when we got back to the room from the casino, there was a knock on the door and we opened it and there were 2 guys holding our 5 bottles of liquor. Now I had to make a decision to be honest or just take the liquor, but I am a big believer in karma, so I told them that we had already received our liquor. They thanked us for being honest and left. My hubby gave me that "I can't believe you just did that look". but come on, we just won $5000...no reason to be greedy!!

OK good night all, I will finish my review tomorrow!

WOW. I was on Triumph Sept 10-15 and I gave up on slots because every $20 I put into the machines disappeared. I had budgeted $500 and stopped after $120.

That's must have been the neatest thing. Great trip, all payed for in one pull!

WOW.

Congratulations on that win:D:D!! What a way to end a great cruise.

My sister and I are taking my daughter on Triumph in April for her very first cruise and my first on Carnival; so have been greatly enjoying your review and pictures. Sounds like the whole trip was just plain fun.

One question about your cabin. Was the third bed a fold down from the wall or did the sofa make into a bed? We are on deck 8 in a balcony and my sister wants to know how high up on the wall her bed is. Thank you for any info you can provide.

Later...

Vicki

So refreshing to read a review like this. No complaints, go with the flow and have fun and enjoy life. HOORAY on the win. Have left so much $ in the casino over all our cruises we could probably buy our own ship  so it's nice to read when someone wins! Good of you to return the liquor. What goes around, comes around! Happy cruising to you all! ;)

We were on deck 8 last month in a balcony room, 8270. It had the bed that drops from the ceiling and the couch that can be made up into a bed. Just tell the steward which one you want to use and they will make it up for you. The bunk wasn't too high, but do need to use the ladder.

Quick question. I keep meaning to ask this in a Triumph review and another thread jogged my memory.

I've read that CCL does the $10 sales like RCCL does. Do they do that on the shorter cruises or is it just the week long cruises? Also, RCCL did a $10 T-shirt sale separate from the regular $10 sale. Does CCL do anything like that? The RCCL shirts on sale were ones that weren't available in the onboard shop. They listed ports of call, had really nice logos and designs, etc. The problem was that it was like a cattle call trying to get to the tables and it wasn't announced in advance (probably a good thing).

If they do this, when and where was it (if you remember)?

I found myself on the edge of my computer chair waiting for the big gambling revelation! How exciting!!

I won in 2005 - but maybe 1/5 of that! And it was EARLY in the cruise so hubby made me lock it in the safe so I wouldn't give it ALL back by the end. I love hearing stories of winning - casino...total reviews of excursions/ports/food/fun. Very Cool!

Thanks again...and great pics, too! :)

I have never seen pool tables on any cruise ship. Are those for play or display only? But it

looks like they are playing. How much is it to play and is it by hour or per game? I guess i will find out in 36 more days.

Also this has to be one of the best reviews that I have read. Congrats on your big win! Especially on a game that i tell my wife " slots isn't a REAL game". I am a blackjack player.
