CarolinaGirl2010 Posted October 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2012 We just booked our second cruise on the Carnival Dream last night. I remember getting cruise insurance cheaper with someone else last time, but I don't remember who. Does anyone have any suggestions for reliable but inexpensive cruise insurance?:)
DebJ14 Posted October 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2012 We use Allianz Travel Insurance (formerly Access America) or Travel Safe. Never had a problem with a claim.

Does anyone have any suggestions for reliable but inexpensive cruise insurance?:) Any of the biggies (CSA, TravelInsured, TravelEx......) are good. You need to choose the Policy that has coverages that suit your needs - for instance several insure kids free with insured adults, If you qualify for USAA membership you can get some expanded benefits And slightly lower premiums from TravelInsured. You want to purchase w/in several weeks of booking to get "waiver of pre-existing conditions" and optional "cancel for any reason". ken

#1TravelMom Posted October 23, 2012 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2012 I highly recommend Travelguard. A company is only as good as their customer service. I was involved in a very large claim - thought for sure it would involve weeks or months of hassle - I was so pleasantly surprised. Check was mailed in weeks without any stress. MAGNUM PI Posted November 13, 2012 #9 Share Posted November 13, 2012 The best travel insurance company--starts with one who is NOT affliated with the cruise line. I have utilized TravelGuard, for my last 5 cruises, and they are very reliable.
EGZumba Posted November 17, 2012 #10 Share Posted November 17, 2012 I agree with TravelGuard. We recently had to cancel our Med Cruise about a month before sailing due to unexpected illness. We received a check for over $5000 for all non refundable fees from Cruise and Airline within 4 weeks. Very easy to work with.
