With MTD & 6 people, better to reserve ahead of time?

We will be 3 couples and we all signed up for MTD. It will be our first time doing My Time. I know we do not want to eat late, likely around 7:30pm. Since there are 6 of us should be reserve ahead of time or just show up and wait? What's the usual wait if you want a table for 6.

 

Or better to just go reserve each night once on the ship the first day?

I would go the reservation route just so you don't have to worry about waiting.

There were 6 of us when we sailed on the Freedom MTD. Each night before we left the dining room, we would stop by the desk and make reservations for the following night for the time we wanted. It made it much easier to have our table of 6 waiting when we arrived.

We routinely pick a time that everyone can agree on before the cruise and reserve it on line prior to sailing. We have never had an issue since I am ready to reserve as soon as the reservation line is open.

We were 6 of us on our last cruise, and we didn't think to make our MTD ressies soon enough, and by the time we tried to do it on line, it was too late. When we got on the ship, one person from our group spoke with the MTD maitre 'd and asked to arrange what we wanted, and viola! No problem. We had the same table, same time, same wait staff the entire cruise. Bottom line: don't stress over it. If you can do it in advance, definitely, go for it. If, for any reason you can't get what you want online, wait 'til you get on the ship and make your arrangements. Have a great cruise.

With MTD, your entire group is seated together (unless you have more than 12)...so just show up when you want, and your party will be seated. You don't need to "link" reservations like you do with traditional dining.
