Booked the Spirit to Canaries

Just booked to sail on the Spirit again 4th Feb 2013 from Barcelona to Madeira and Canary Isles.

 

This time I am going with my sister for whom it will be her first time on a cruise. She seems pretty excited about it all which is great as she was widowed in June this year.

 

I was amazed to be able to secure cabin 10686 which is a balcony towards the aft. According to a site I looked at it said that this is pretty much the best balcony cabin on the ship. I'm stoked about it all and needed to share with people who understand.

He is from Madeira so he will give you some good info on the island I reckon.

For a Brit like me it is unusual to have never been to Tenerife, Lanzarote etc. We are both looking forwards to our time there. I'll wave for you.

We loved this itinerary on the Jade last year. Madeira is beautiful and amazing. We took the "Best of Madeira" tour and rode up the funicular with amazing views, rode the unique street ride (name I can't recall), and drove to a beautiful mountaintop hotel where the views were fabulous.

Holiday decorations in the city were beautiful at the time we went.

Enjoyed Lanzarote and Tenerife as well. A trip to Gibraltar was offered as an excursion from Malaga when we went. First time there and enjoyed that also.

Got a new camera for the trip...can't wait to take some pics.

We have some great plans for Madeira and Malaga so far...

...plus we're in an Aft PH. :p
