back to back cruises

I'm doing B2B in December out of Tampa. Do you know if I have to get off the ship. We just walked by the machine and right back.

In August, also on the Jewel, we did not, but that was in England for both departures.

Tampa is one of the ports in the US were the CBP people sometimes come on the ship. If they come on the ship, then you won't have to get off. If they don't come on the ship, then you will have to get off. No way to know in advance.

You can go in your cabin as soon as you get back onboard. It's supposed to only take a few minutes for the whole get off, get back on process.

We just did a B2B in September, on Freedom out of Port Canaveral.

The entire process from the time we left ship until getting back on was about 1/2 hour.

The Customs agent was funny - the only question she asked was - "Did you enjoy the first week"? :p

Then we were escorted to a room where they handed out your new seapass cards. After handing out the cards, they asked "Okay, does everyone have their new cards"?

4 people didn't

A few minutes later, the missing cards arrived, and armbands were put on everyone.

The armbands tell the ship staff that you are supposed to be on the ship, (and not escorted off) LOL

You also show the bands if you want to go back to your stateroom before 1 PM. ;)

And finally, there is a "special lunch" for B2B folks in the MDR, which we went to.

What is best way to find B2B cruises? Sounds like a great way to cruise but you can't, or at least I can't, easily find them on a RC cruise search. Thank you.

We did the Freedom, which just does repeating East, then West, then, East, etc etc.

I believe you can also do the Allure and/or Oasis East/ West Caribbean itineraries.

Wow, I have not seen armbands yet.

They sound neat.

Did you get to keep them or have to turn them in?!;)

They were just paper type that could be torn off when you got tired of them.

We kept ours on until after lunch.

They had no special markings on them.

Oh, I guess I should say wristbands, not armbands. (they went around your wrist, and were a fluorescent orange colour)

Thanks!

I'll bring my party beads next time!;)

Interesting....we were told in feb on our b2b on the adventure we would NOT have access to our cabin after our meeting time until 115. Anyone with meds that they needed were suggested to take with them. Our meeting time was at 11. we were long off the ship. We chose to get off and we knew we would not be able to get back onboard until boarding started at 1230. There were many who were staying onboard to have the luncheon. We got back about 130 and just showed our new seapass and a white card to show in transit. Didn't have the normal ding....and then security says welcome back and enjoy hope you enjoy this week as well. And we were like...awesome..awesome...went right up to our cabin to drop off our bag and then go get involved in the activiites and to check on the group up at the bar who were welcoming the newbies to our adventure on the adventure!!!

I think it depends on the ship and the home port you are at. It was very easy getting off the ship too. A RCCL rep took us right thru customs...no forms just our passport and white card and two seapasses each.
