Black Sea Cruise

Hi guys

Looking for some info and I know you'll be able to help :)

We'd like to do a Black Sea cruise next year covering Istanbul Yalta and Odessa.

Obviously not all cruise lines do this itinerary. Any recommendations ?

In Yalta we toured with Sergey Sorokin. We did his tour #1 and had a great time. Search this forum for Sorokin and you will see my brief review of his tour. Also in TripAdvisor. Highly recommend him.

I would use a Travel Agency web site that has a search engine and then search on the lines who do these itineraries. There are several that do.

Of course,dates and price varies. Thinking of one of these for 2014..Most go in spring thru Sept.it seems.

Thanks for all the info. Everyone is helpful as always ! However I'm having second thoughts about our next cruise. I've just checked my Tesco points and realised I can get about £500 off a river cruise with Viking. And as a cruise on the Danube is also on our "must do" list I think that'll be our next journey.In 2011 we got £800 off our Princess cruise-we'll not quite match that this time but every saving helps! So... I'm off to the River Cruise forum. No doubt I'll meet up with some of you there :)

Viking also cruise the Dneiper River and Black sea coast in Ukraine, spending more days in Odessa, Sebastopol and Yalta than most of the ocean cruises do. Won't get you to Istanbul.

We enjoyed the destinations very much when we did this cruise in 2008.
