There were plenty of stories; you just have to read something besides the Sun. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/oct/29/caribbean-nations-hurricane-sandy http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-20151178 I live in New Jersey, and we are devastated by this hurricane and what it has caused to many people. I am deeply offended by your comment. I don't blame you. There is a big difference when Sandy was in the Caribbean, and when it merged with other storms in the US. The damage is far, far greater on the east coast than the Caribbean, and the economic toll is going to be enormous. This is the largest storm ever to hit the east coast, and that certainly makes it very newsworthy. “We’re looking at impact of greater than 50 to 60 million people,” said Louis Uccellini, head of environmental prediction for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). yarlenna Posted November 4, 2012 #8 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Think about next new-year - How will the people in the north-east be? How will the people of Haiti and Cuba be? Who will be back to normal? Who will be starving? In BOTH, people died, homes were ruined, etc - - Yes, the US got hit. OUCH. The people of the Caribbean got hit too. 6rugrats Posted November 4, 2012 #11 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Interesting thing to complain about  Who is complaining, just stating that not only the US got hit, the Caribbean did too. You are complaining. In your first post you say: Is anyone else fed of hearing how bad the US got hit, didnt the Caribbean get hit too? And, of course there was lots of coverage, even in the UK, about the damage Sandy did in the Caribbean. I honestly am not sure why you started this thread, or what it's really about.
