I know someone recently posted a question about Grandeur of the Seas. I just had my review posted, and, hopefully, it will answer the questions.

We are going to sail the Grandeur when she repositions to Baltimore, MD in April. I am glad the refurbishment in the puublic areas went well. I am sorry there is a foul odor. I hope they figure that out.

Hi......enjoyed your review. We were on the Grandeur in July and had a fabulous time. Enjoyed all the refurbishments and just about everything about the ship. We were last on her in 2004 and the smell you mentioned was a problem even then. I don't think it will ever be "fixed". We didn't notice it at all in July, though.

I also wanted to say that we had the same problem with Miss Sophie!!! She tried to block our way to the tenders as well.....but we just ignored her and went right past her and got on the tender! She was really rude.

We ate in all the specialty restaurants and they were all excellent.

Since my cruise is several months off, I hope Sophie moves to another ship. It seems we should share the wealth.:p

Thanks for your review! We're also sailing on the Grandeur out of Baltimore next Spring, and it's good to get some candid and honest reports. :)

From her own announcement, assuming she is still with the company, she's supposed to go to Oasis. I wonder how she will deal with so many Americans ;)

Whenever talking to Americans her tone of voice immediately changed from nice (to others) to nasty. When she did a trivia, she made certain that 95% of the questions were related to the UK and 5% were general. She also made light sport of Americans in her chit chat.

 

Even the Aussies we were playing trivia with, thought she was rude to Americans.
