RosieRuby Posted November 6, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2012 Does anyone who has visited Rio before have experience of pre-booking with Gray Line tours (Brazil)? They seem reasonably priced, have a good choice of tours and do hotel pick-ups. We have a full day at a central hotel after leaving Quest in December before a late flight home. Any comments much appreciated.
Nitemare Posted November 6, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2012 We did a private tour in Rio. Cost more, but for four of us not *that* much more than a bus tour. And we got to chose what we saw and didn't have to share our guide with 40 other people.

Architect Posted November 8, 2012 #4 Share Posted November 8, 2012 FWIW, the Gray Line tours have horrible, horrible reviews on TripAdvisor. A common complaint is that you spend half the tour time waiting at various hotel pickup spots and then the other half dropping people off. On top of that, the restaurants they make you eat at turn out to be tourist traps with awful food. See Rio - Activities on that site for better alternatives. HTH!
