BobofArizona Posted December 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2012 We will be arriving at 6:30 a.m. at FLL on a red-eye flight from Las Vegas. I wonder if we can find a nice comfortable place to "hang around" for 5-6 hours (with 2 bags) before boarding the Westerdam for our cruise leaving in the late afternoon. We are in our 60's and will most likely be tired. Is there a reasonably comfortable lounge area located at the port? Thanks for any help or suggestions
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 10, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2012 I would go to one of the area airport hotels and have breakfast there and then head over to the port around 10:00 AM. Keith
megr1125 Posted December 10, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2012 Agree with Keith...even go to the Renaissance on 17th...you could tip the bellman a few bucks...store your bags and eat..either in the hotel or take a walk to statbucks or einsteins...or the little bakery behind the hotel...there is also a walgreens across the street...you could grab a newspaper and hang in the lobby.... There really are no comfy places on the land side at FLL...i would just pick a hotel on 17th.....they are all used to storing bags... Hi Keith and hi Meg:) There is not a "reasonably comfortable lounge" to sit in for the time frame you are needing......(not anything I have ever heard about anyway). I would much prefer to sit in a hotel lobby for all those hours anyway.
KirkNC Posted December 10, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 10, 2012 Good advice, there is no reason to stay at the airport.
