WOW absolutely beautiful!!! After reading your dream review and the start of this one, I asked hubby for an online photo course for Christmas :D I only have a basic digital camera, but who knows.... my birthday is the day before our next cruise :p

ok you may continue...... :D

Aww that's awesome!! Just some additional recommendations...

- Hands on learning is always best. So, check the schedules at your local community colleges or google your city name with beginner photography courses. Unless you're able to watch tutorials and remember everything, it's best to take an in person class. Your motor memory will kick in if you've had to do it yourself and will be easier to remember which settings mean what and what they all do.

- Head out one evening to your nearest barnes n noble or borders and go to the photography section. I don't know what your skill level is but they have books from photography for dummies to more advanced books including photoshop help or picassa or... you name it. You can sit there and read without buying them and when you feel like a book is right for you, you can pick it up.

Light is the most important part of a photo and a book called "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson is a great book for beginners to start understanding the relationship between the settings on their camera and why they matter!

Best of luck to you!

Alicia.. Great review!! Can't wait to read the rest of it.. :D:D

Hey you! Thanks!! I am done for today. I am about to hop in the shower. Have a client coming at 7:30. Hoping I can get a little bit more done tomorrow and Saturday on the review. We have family coming in from out of state on Sunday for Christmas and they'll be here several days and we most likely won't be able to post anything during that time! If I don't talk to you again before then, happy holidays to you and your family.

You know I enjoy it too reading the review and reading other people's comments here and there!!

Quick question for you , I read on another review the same cruise you were on someone mentioned the bartender Alex///And chance you have a pic of him?? We had a bartender named Alex on our miracle cruise in April and I was just curious if its the same one..My youngest took quite the liking to him!!!

You are everywhere asking for a picture of Alex for your '9' year old daughter. Unreal she is only 9 !!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I was , cause I know the people here on CC are helpful like that!! Thats all, yes I am well aware that she is only 9, but he was one of the crew members , actually quite a few on the Miracle that seemed to go above and beyond, so yeah that made an impression...Get your mind out of the gutter or where ever it may be!! So often you here about how rude some crew members can be and well that ship has or had an outstanding crew!

Just as an additional footnote to this. I too was on the 2-day & 8-day US Inaugural and Alex ROCKS!! He is planning to be on the Breeze until June. The only thing is that they might transfer him to the Spirit out of Australia. He is on stand-by! That's what he told me on the last night of the cruise.

Good to see & read your review, Alicia. We sailed with you on the Dream last year. I'm thinking your next cruise should be on an older ship with 2.0 like the Conquest for Halloween 2013 with us! Would love to see your pics of the ship as well as New Orleans as you seem to capture the essence of what you shoot. Have a happy holiday & make sure Lantanya & you take the time to relax!

Thanks for filling me in! You know it really is nice when people take the time to talk to some of the crew, they really have great stories to tell!! I feel for them when you see people just treat them like slaves, the way they work, I know I could never work some of the hrs that some of the crew do!

I completely agree!!!! I love getting to know the crew and forming relationships with them. Yes, they are there to care for us but not be disrespected and treated poorly.

Your reviews and pictures are so amazing that you have everyone of us on Cruise Critic spoiled. When I first heard about you doing this Breeze cruise, all I could think about was seeing the next review. Carnival owes you and Latanya a free cruise!

While I was waiting for my pasta to be cooked, I got up and took a couple of photos from inside the restaurant. Cucina Del Capitano overlooks the atrium of the Marketplace aft where the Sweet Spot baked goods, etc. are...

I was shocked to see this many people eating dessert so early in the day! I can't do it.... Latanya on the other hand can eat dessert just about any time including breakfast. lol.

These chandeliers were really awesome! I loved the decor in this area and it would become my favorite part of the decor on the Breeze. It made me feel like I was in another country... perhaps.. Italy? :-)

After a couple of minutes, they brought my food to the table and Latanya and I were able to dig in and start eating. The food was 110% worth waiting for a few minutes to have it be fresh and it was nice to start the day with just Latanya and I and not a lot of other people around.

Cucina's menu is really cool... it's like opening a gate.

YUMMMMMM!!! That was so delicious and now I am entering into a food coma!!!

Right as we were finishing eating, Latanya had to call her parents so she walked away for a minute to a quieter spot. So, I stayed at the table to relax since I was so full. I struck up a conversation with the guy sitting at the table next to us and it took only a couple of seconds for us to realize we were both Funnel Fanatics on the same roll call. His name is Al.. I think his CC name is Pomme. I hope I don't butcher that. Again, I didn't have much time to bond with people in advance this time so I didn't learn as many names as I should.

Anyway, we had a great conversation and Latanya came back and they got to geek out together over the significance of his user name on CC. We talked for at least 30-45 minutes about random stuff and discovered we actually live really close to each other too!

It was about 3:20pm now and the muster drill was supposed to be starting at 3:30pm so we decided to head out and be prepared for the alarm to sound....

Hey Alicia,

Yeah I'm just getting around to reading reviews today. As I am reading this I'm thinking, wait is this when I met you two. And sure enough, there I am. Yes we had a great conversation. Then you were the mystery people. Everyone was wondering where you guys were at. I won't say anymore because I am not sure where you are at with your review yet. So glad we got to see you again. I must say you two are beautiful people inside and out. Can't wait until we can find some time with our busy lives to get together again. Seeing that we are like neighbors and all.
