RuthC Posted December 16, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2012 Thanks, Sail, for the link. I got to this thread late, and just caught the tail end of the parade. I liked what I saw, but am sorry I didn't see more. Maybe next year???

sail7seas Posted December 16, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted December 16, 2012 I only saw about half of it but enjoyed what I saw. :) Yes, next year..... We stumbled on it by accident on one of the cable channels last year and I went looking for it this year.

Typhoon1 Posted December 16, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 16, 2012 Fort Lauderdale was the place to be today. Guess I missed the show again.
Krazy Kruizers Posted December 16, 2012 #7 Share Posted December 16, 2012 A few years we were fortunate to be in Ft Lauderdale for the parade. We always made dinner reservations months in advance at one of the restaurants along the waterway so we could view the boats all decorated. The place was called "Down and Under" -- long gone. Sanlin Posted December 16, 2012 #9 Share Posted December 16, 2012 A few years we were fortunate to be in Ft Lauderdale for the parade. We always made dinner reservations months in advance at one of the restaurants along the waterway so we could view the boats all decorated. The place was called "Down and Under" -- long gone. One of our favorite places years ago...great hearts of palm salad among others. Always a place to go for celebrations. We were lucky enough to live on the intracoastal in Lighthouse Point and got to see the parade the second night when it stated in Pompano. Good memories.
