paul929207 Posted January 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2013 Coffee card is about $30. Gives 15 punches for specialty coffees. Plus unlimited brewed coffee as long as there is a pinch left. If not all punches used, works on next cruise, except no free brewed coffee on second cruise. Must drill is just before sailing. Room service $1 or $2 per order or meal. caribill Posted January 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2013 Booked Crown Princess mini suite for this year . We have cruised before but not with Princessany tips or pointers would be most welcome... How does the Coffee card work? Price is around $32 with included 15% tip. With the card you can have unlimited fresh brewed coffee at the International Cafe bar. (The "free" coffee in the dining rooms and buffet and from room service is made from a syrup and some do not find it palatable.) The card also has 15 punches for specialty coffees such as a cappuccino. The unlimited fresh brewed is good for the cruise you are on. Unused punches can be used on a future Princess cruise. Tou can opurchase the cioffee card at the International Cafe bar and probably at several other places on the ship. when do you do Muster is it before you set sail? The muster will be about an hour before setting sail from the embarkation port. With Princess you will muster at an indoor location. You will carry (not wear) the life jackets to the muster and, after instructions how to use them, put them on. Once you have done that, you take them off and return them to your cabin. Do you tip room service? There is a daily gratuity charge added to your onboard account each night. This includes tips for your waitstaff in all dining areas, room service personnel, and your cabin steward. Many passengers also will tip extra for great service, including room service personnel. caribill Posted January 5, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2013 I only drink one coffee a day...could my husband and I share a punch card? For the punches, yes. The "unlimited free fresh brewed" is really for the person who purchased the card.
Mom33 Posted January 5, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2013 I only drink one coffee a day...could my husband and I share a punch card? Go to the counter with your card and get your coffee. Give the card to your hubby and he can do the same. If you try to order more than one coffee at a time, it will depend on the employee as to whether or not you can order 2. Pam in CA Posted January 5, 2013 #7 Share Posted January 5, 2013 For years, US regulations have been that Muster must take place before sailing on embarkation day. On Princess and other US-based cruise lines, this has been their standard procedure. So, Muster is usually within an hour prior to sailing. Exceptions are itineraries with very late sailing times (11pm, for instance) in which case, Muster is held earlier in the evening. Few US-based cruise lines offer multiple embarkation ports on an itinerary such as the Concordia did.
