Upcoming casino premier cruises....

At the welcome party they will give you a lanyard with your name and premier or something that will let the servers know your drinks are free. Remember, the free drinks are only in the casino.

Now the question is what will the logo gift be? I have very nice beach towels and wine glasses. Forget what the other gift was.

Just received my mailer yesterday. I'm surprised that they've actually raised the cash incentive bar (my past offer included $300 cash)!

I'm equally surprised that they integrated the fact that I am a Diamond guest into the offer. Carnival DOES have the ability to generate personalized bulk mailings!

Now that's something!!!!! If you don't go, can I have your suite? I had free suite offers in the past but not with additional cash back. Way to go.

Edit.....opps. see now it says balcony. Which would you rather have. A suite or the $1000?

On Carnival the only real perk to having a suite (aft corner Spirit class ships excluded) would be the extra interior room. Thus the grand is more worthwhile. Having said that, I still don't think we'll be able to take them up on any of these dates. Throw a few grand (cash) my way, and it would be tougher to turn down. ;)

Still, I am pleased to see that they have raised the ante. Now if only Carnival could attract other players willing to spend time at the $25 BJ table, it would not be such a lonely place. Celebrity, NCL, and Royal Caribbean have multiple tables at that level and higher which regularly see action. On most of the Carnival cruises we've been on they virtually have to dust off the table when I sit down to play!

I feel the same way about them having very few $5 slot machines. It wouldn't be that hard to have multi denominational machines. I have a favorite machine in AC that i bump up from $1 to $2 to $5 depending on how things are going.

We never got the towels but we got the wine glasses twice, a nice wood frame and one of the metal travel cups....can't remember what else....

I know this question was directed specifically at Tom-Cheryl but I would rather have the suite since we've never been in one. Plus the boyfriend blows through $1,000 so fast it's like we've never had it. We tried to upgrade from the free balcony to a suite but were told we would have to pay the full suite price instead of the difference between balcony and suite. Does anyone know if this information I received was true or if there's anyway to upgrade to suite and just pay the difference?

For our "free" cruise we're taking on the Breeze this Sunday it was originally for a balcony (5 nights or less would have been a suite). I was able to pay the difference to upgrade to a spa balcony. It was not easy - going back and forth 2-3 times between different people to get it all set up. Apparently they had never been approached by someone wanting to pay MORE! I guess that 99.9% of people will just take what's given to them.

On both NCL and Celebrity we have, multiple times, upgraded to suites by paying the difference from the balcony which was offered. It's not always though the simple difference between the two cabins:

Often the casino reserves a (virtual) block of cabins at a negotiated/lower rate. So if the cabin category that you were given "retails" for $1,000 - they might have only $700 into it, thus to upgrade you would likely have to pay the difference between the $700 and your desired cabin.

Thanks for the info Tom. After booking I've tried to call back and upgrade to a suite but have been told I couldn't. I just called in to book a new cruise and tried to ask to pay the difference to upgrade to a suite but was again told I couldn't. I attempted to ask 3 times in 3 different ways but was denied. I guess you're right and they don't have many people who want to pay more so they don't know how to handle it. I just find it strange they're telling me "no, you can't pay us more money". Oh well, at least we still get a free balcony so I'm still happy about that.

I like the Wheel of Fortune machines along the windows in the center of the casino. On the wall there are jockey figures. I always felt like someone was looking over my shoulder. But every time on The Pride i got a $1000 spin.

Good luck.

I booked the Conquest out of New Orleans in October. It happens to sail over my birthday. It was the only way I could get DH to go, by saying it was for my birthday. He agreed - this will be his 24th cruise on Carnival and this is my milestone 25th. Not taking the 25th cruise OBC, saving it for a more expensive cruise next year. I have gotten the premier cruise offers for the last couple of years but this is the first one I have booked. My PVP said they DO make you feel like a VIP. So I am anxious to see.

Does anyone know how many premier cruise promotions are sent out each year and at what times? When the ones in January were sent out the last day to book was March 5, and the new promotions were sent out March 11. Is the next one going to be sent out as soon as the promotional period for the current one (May 3) is over? Thanks.

I received the offer and am going on the Breeze August 31! This is the first time I could take advantage of a casino offer.

Our friends from the Chicago area are also going on this cruise....and it's also their first "premier" cruise. Wish we were joining them on this one but we're already booked on the Sept 22nd cruise

Can someone tell me whether the free drinks for the cruise(in casino) is for both people in the cabin or just the one that received the offer? My husband wants to know if he will also get free drink card!!!

If you are on a VIP premier cruise, your dh will also get the card! We had 3 in our cabin (all adults) and all 3 of us got the drinks on us card.:)
