Celebrity gave me a cool little leather card holder, it's great.

There's a thing called Spibelt that has a zippered compartment that enlarges to fit the card, and an iPhone plus and a passport. You can wear it under your clothes or as a belt. Great invention.

I'm also lost without a pen and notebook, so when I saw a little leather notebook at Dymocks for 59c with room on the front for a card I grabbed it, haven't used it yet but will probably be what I use in future.
