Those pesky non Carnival Cruisers

My Dad decided to book a last minute cruise last week and I convinced him he should try the Carnival Breeze since it looks awesome. He has only cruised Princess before but agreed that the Breeze looks nice so he booked it.

So we're sitting at work today in our office and he tells his friend about his upcoming trip on Carnival. His friend says "Oh, I didn't know you were into partying now."

...

Of course he has never cruise Carnival either.

I just hope my Dad likes it now that I have lambasted his friend for his comment. LOL

Don't know how old you father is but I just took my in-law on a carnival cruise and all they kept saying is I don't want to be on a party ship:mad: But, hey it was a free cruise for them so they were going where the DH and I took them

Needless to say they fell in love, said Carnival has a bad wrap and guess who is booking a Carnival cruise for themselves this year!

Haha I hope your dad comes back with great stories.

I can't pick one group that overtakes the ship. We are a family with kids 17, 15 and 11. I felt like the ship was made just for us. Then, I see the 20 something's and 60 something's having the time of their lives. Some women are wearing jewelry worth more than I will make in 10 years and some people pack with grocery bags. Very diverse group. I really like it that way!

As long as your dad doesn't mind the occasional deck party, he will have a great time! We booked a last minute cruise on the Sensation to the Bahamas for 3 of us for $650 total! I thought to myself that it was too good to be true and it's probably a party boat with a bunch of drunks on it. However, we, too saw everyone from little infants to senior citizens on this cruise. I only saw one obnoxious person that was yelling during the lifeboat drill. But I saw him the next day and he was acting normal. There was plenty to do for everyone.

We left Nassau around 1am and had a deck party at midnight along with a mexican buffet. It was awesome! There was a RCI boat next to us (we have cruised RCI before and found it boring with rude people) and I figured these people must think we are crazy.lol I am sure all cruise lines have their good and bad points, but I think Carnival has something for everyone and is a great value. I didn't see a huge difference in the food or service between RCI and Carnival. And our RCI cruise was twice as much. We liked having music by the pool and drinking buckets of beer. I think the best way to have fun is going in open minded and adapt to things that change. On our cruise, the hot tubs were all closed for some reason, which was a little bit of a bummer. But it didn't ruin our cruise or anything. I think if you get upset easily about change, then you are just setting yourself up for failure.

Prior to our Christmas cruise on the Breeze, we read lots and lots of comment about Carnival ships being full of drunks and tramp stamps.

We loved the ship, the cruise line, and the guests. Didn't see any drunks or tramp stamps. We saw mostly nice families enjoying their vacations.

Normal comments from folks whose opinions have been formed by CCL ad campaings and TV spots. Is there drinking and people having a great time chillin'? You bet! Rowdy to the extreme? Never.

We've sailed a couple of 8 day itineraries and you would have been hard pressed to find anyone stirring outside of the casino after 11.

Now watching people return to the ship in Cozumel is really an experience not to be missed!
