Princess Helicopter Pads

Well, on Serenade the Seas (RCI) has a helicopter pad that you can go out on at anytime. It was fantastic for scenic cruising in Alaska.

I was thinking of trying Princess for Alaska.

It depends on which Princess ship as to which viewing areas there are. ;)

Helicopters rarely, if ever, land on a ship. It's very dangerous and a very tricky maneuver, jeopardizing the helicopter's crew, the patient and the ship. Medevacs are almost always done by lowering a basket. Much safer for everyone. Thus, no helicopter pad on any Princess ship. If a medevac is needed, a section of the Lido is cleared out.

Different Princess ships have better viewing areas. The best are the Coral and the Diamond with open, public decks both forward and aft on several decks. Skywalkers on the Grand class ships (except for the Grand) have an almost 360-degree view plus you can go outdoors for better viewing.

On a Grand Class ship you can watch from the tip of the curved bow-under cover, as it has a deck above it. Wind in your hair...and you won't get crushed by an unexpected helicopter.
