When do you cruise? I am boarding on Saturday and if I can I will try to get some pictures next week and post when I get back. Are you looking for anything in particular?

I know Carnival has a wine list on their website. Kind of hard to find though.

So, cheers out of Galveston, does "day 2" kick off at midnight or is it at 6am since the 15 drink limit is counted from 6a to 6a?

I've sailed out of Galveston many times but have only had Royal's drink package and I believe anything you bought day 1, if recall, was retro absorbed into your drink package so there was no additional charges for drinks on day 1. I don't understand why it doesn't go into effect as soon as you hit international waters an hour or so in. If the casino can open, so can their dang drink package. pbbbt!

6 typical drinks a day you will save over individual prices. Couple of Mojitos in the afternoon (a Bloody Mary instead on Seaday brunch days). A cocktail pre dinner. A glass or two of wine with dinner. A couple of drinks in the club or show later. This is about as much drinking as I care to do.. but I still save with Cheers

I am contemplating sailing Legend to Alaska next summer. I notice on the CHEERS program that each drink will trigger a tax while in domestic waters which on an Alaskan cruise would be the entire cruise except the bit in Vancouver. How much is the tax %?

A poster in another thread mentioned that milkshakes were included as part of the Cheers! program. What venues on the ship (specifically Conquest-class) would this include? I.e., which have milkshakes?

I'll probably drink just enough alcohol to get the value out of Cheers each day (I'm an indifferent drinker, but my stateroom compadres are, umm, less indifferent ;) ) but....milkshakes? Yummm. :)

They have milkshakes at the coffee bar.

Each drink is taxed while in the jurisdiction of the ports such as seattle. This applies whether you have cheers or not, so if you drink during that time, you will pay the tax. It is not the entire cruise, I cannot remember what the tax rate is, but I think it was about 50 cents a drink..

Did a Google search it said Seattle was 9.6 tax rate. So on a 10.00 drink that would be .96

This should be updated...what's included is endless...NOT 10.00 LIMIT....50.00 LIMIT and it does include a lot more than original post

I think you are the first to point that out this week.

Thanks. I knew that the coffee bar had for-fee pastries and such, but wasn't sure about milkshakes or if they'd be included.

Anywhere else on the ship?

No, that's the only place, except on Sunshine and Vista which have the Shake Spot.

Can I upgrade to a cheers package on my last day of a 4 day cruise. Don't feel like spending for days I'll be at port most of the day.

Hmm do you think you will have at least 5 drinks plus milkshakes, energy drinks, specialty coffee and other drinks that are included. Or another way to look at it is do you think you will have at least 20 drinks on your 4 day cruise.

I think so. It's my only day at sea. Will have the whole day to try.

You also have morning specialty coffee, milkshakes and wine/beer/coctails with dinner all 4 days even if you just have 3 coctails for 3 days that leaves 11 for the last day. And you will have broke even.

Hi Everyone.

DH and I are going on the Breeze soon with some family members and will be purchasing the Cheers program. There are two other cabins in the group. In each of the other cabins there is one person that also wants to purchase Cheers but the other adult does not.

My question is...is there a way to switch cabins before sailing and buy cheers and maybe switch back if they find out it is a hassle not being able to access your original cabin? For example one of the cabins has kiddos in it and they might decide they want to switch back.

Has anyone heard or have done this?

Same question. We asked about the Cheers package where only my daughter and I drink, my husband and son do not. Our carnival agent suggested that my daughter and I book as rooming together so that we could buy the cheers package on line and then switch rooms once we are on board. Has anyone done this and did it work?

Yes it happens all the time when booking put the people who want the package in the same room. Then all you have to do is swap sign and sail cards. Just remember to swap back when you exit the boat. Or just make sure that you are with the person who is assigned to the room. Or get a extra door card.

We have three kids so we always need two rooms. Just got back from Freedom. My wife and two kids booked in one room, me and one kid booked in another. Set up my room with the King bed and wife's room with the twin beds. I bought the Cheers package since my wife is a light weight (three drinks a day, tops). When we got to our rooms on the first day, the room steward asked if she and I would be in the one room together, I presume because we asked for the King bed setup. No problem at all. Accounts were all linked to one credit card so it really didn't matter.

Only problem was my wife didn't have a key to our room. So my son and her swapped S&S. My wife never bought anything on board so it really didn't matter that she had my son's S&S card. When the kids were little, we had all their cards so it didn't matter. Now they are teens and have the run of the ship (sorry fellow cruisers, but at least they are relatively well behaved).

All you have to do is ask for an extra room key. It is not a sail & sign card, just a room key card. No need to switch cards with someone.
