Allure CP Balcony less expensive then CP Window View?

When booking my cruise on the Allure I was surprised to see the CP Balcony(C2) cabins are less expensive then the CP View(CV) cabins. Seems strange to me, but if anyone knows why, you guys will! What's the reason for that?

Just supply and demand working. It's also possible that there's a residence or senior special on the C2 but not on the CV.

The following is my educated guess as to what happens - I have no inside knowledge. It seems that there are sales targets for each separate category. If CVs are selling well and are ahead of their scheduled sales target they raise prices on them. If C2s are behind their sales target they lower those prices to move inventory. Combine those two and, yep, C2s end up cheaper than CVs. Obviously it pays to glance at prices in additional categories beyond just the one you think will be in your price range. Factor in a C&A Balcony discount and it is not at all unusual to end up getting a CP or BW balcony for less than an inside on O-class.:)

When I booked our Allure cruise, some of the ocean facing balconies were less expensive than the Boardwalk and Central Park balconies. They have since balanced out. It all goes to how many are left in each category at a certain point in time, good ole supply and demand.

This is why it always pays to look around do your research. You never know when you will catch a good deal.
